All That Jas: A Giveaway

Enter this great giveaway on Chicago Prepster's blog! You can choose between a Greek or Monogrammed lettered tee. I would definitely choose the monogrammed tee. It would be perfect for wearing to class or the gym.

What do y'all think of the giveaway? Hopefully one day I will be able to have a giveaway on my blog!

Ralph Lauren Polo Oxford Shirt

Ok everyone, this is a MUST Buy. I kid you not. I am obsessed over Polo Ralph Lauren Boys Oxford Shirts! They are very sophisticated looking but are also super comfy since they are from the boys (size 8-20) section!  I have a white Oxford Shirt and wear it everywhere! The best part about the Oxford Shirt from the boys section is the price, $45! Thats a great deal when comparing it to the mens section where one of the Shirts runs about $90.

I wear my Oxford Shirt with a pearl necklace, white v-neck, my Jack Rogers, and some jean capris. I sometimes even throw a bow into my hair to look more girly. The button-up shirt is such a Preppy staple and a must-have in every girls wardrobe. I cannot wait to get a few more colors, I'm thinking of getting a pink and white stripe as well as a multi-color stripe.

Tommy Hilfiger also makes a great Oxford shirt, its slightly cheaper (around $39) but its not as heavy material as the Ralph Lauren Oxford. I have a blue and white stripe Tommy Oxford Shirt and wear it just as often as my Polo.

No matter the name brand, I seriously recommend heading into the Boys section (size 8-20) and purchasing a button-up shirt! White is always a great color to start with.

What color do you want to get an Oxford Shirt in?

Live Colorfully

If y'all have not noticed already I am obsessed with Kate Spade. I love everything about the brand and all that it stands for. Kate Spade in my opinon has one of the best Motto's out there. She wants everyone to "Live Colorfully". And it is easy to do just that when wearing Kate Spade. From her earrings, to shoes, to clothes all aspects of the Kate Spade brand have some hint of a bold color to them. Sure some of her pieces are all black, but black is a color and when created by Kate black is not boring! She even has fun sayings on her jewlery, purses and clothes. "Play Hooky" and "Dive In" are two of my favorite sayings of hers. Her jewlery always makes a statment even if its not trying to. Whenever I wear a Kate Spade piece I feel that I truly am living up to her Motto "Live Colorfully."

Here are some of my favorite colorful and fun pieces from Kate Spade that I find to truly embody the Motto "Live Colorfully".

Tell me, do you love Kate Spade? What do you think of her Motto?

The Frame Tray {DIY}

Yesterday my good friend Maggie came over and we crafted! We created cute trays out of a frame, wrapping paper, drawer handles and some hot glue! It was so much fun to do and I really enjoyed catching up with her! We always love to gossip, it really is my favorite part!

Here are all our supplies:

A Delicious Smoothie

The other day at work one on my co-workers concocted a delicous smoothie out of frozen bananas, all natural peanut butter and almond milk! It is literally one of the best smoothies I have ever had and it is super healthy! Almond milk is a great substitute for regular milk and it has almost half of the calories! And by using all natural peanut butter you are cutting out all of the processed sugars which make peanut butter bad for you! Below are the directions to making this great smoothie!

Tell me what y'all think of it? Did you taste the peanut butter goodness?

Paint My Nails {Part 2}

Every week I try to paint my nails a new differnet and fun color! Sometimes I add glitter to them for a new feel to and old color or I try and do designs on them. If I have an important event or outing I paint my nails to match or contrast with my outift. Painting your nails is not only fun, but it is very relaxing.

During the summer I tend to use brighter more vibrant colors, in the fall I start to tone my nail color down and in the winter I usually wear very dark colors. And by springtime you will find pastel colors on my nails! Some weeks during the winter I feel like my dark nail color is wearing me down so I switch to hot pink or neon orange nails to brighten my mood!

Here are some of my favorite colors as well as the colors that I have painted my nails with recently!

Bows And Pearls: What Could Be Better?

This Kate Spade bracelet is literally one of my favorites and I am looking forward to purchasing it soon! It is very classy and I love how the gold bow stands out against the pearls. It would add nicely to a stack with some other Kate Spade bangles and of course a Michael Kors watch.

Would you wear this Adorable Piece?

I'm Crazy For...

Currently I amcrazy for Coach's bracelets! They are all so cute and fun and definitely would be cute in a stack. The leather wrap-braclets are really in for fall and will add some pop to your wrist. The chain bracelet is great because its very classy and the added color to it will brighten up your outfit. I also would not mind having the bead bracelet in multiple colors because it is so versatile. And the the simple single charm bracelet is just adorable, who wouldn't want one?!

What do y'all think of the new Coach bracelets?

The Chubby Stick

I have been eyeing the Chubby Stick by Clinique for a while now and finally decided to get a couple of colors! The reason why I was hesitating getting them before was because I thought I looked not my age with lipstick on. But then one day at Sephora I decided to just try one of the Chubby Sticks on and walk around the mall with it on my lips so I could decide if I was a lipstick girl or not. I ended up getting many compliments on the color, one lady told me the lipstick made my eye color POP! After my walk around the mall I realized I was a Lipstick kind of girl. It was hard choosing which two colors to purchase but when I tried the five colors I liked on it was easy. The best part about the Chubby Stick is that it nourishes your lips while you wear it and unlike other lipsticks does not dry out your lips!

I ended up purchasing Super Strawberry and Mighty Mimosa and LOVE them both!

If you have been eyeing the Chubby Sticks I recommend going out on a lim and trying a color on! Maybe you will end up liking them like I did!

Bows, Bows, And More Bows

I am a Bow addict, like literally I can not get enough of bows! I enjoy wearing Bows on anything and everything, they are not just for your hair! Here are a few of my favorite Bow items that I own!

I absolutely love this Kate Spade Purse, it is stunning and so classy! I just got it for my Birthday from my Grandmother! It is a piece that I will have for the rest of my life and it will never go out of style. The bow is so simple yet it is a statement in itself!

This Ted Baker Bag is so cute, its light purple and bright orange which is one of my favorite color combos! The bag is made out of plastic which makes it super durable! I use it for shopping at stores that do not give bags out with purchases.

This Kate Spade earring and ring set is so adorable! Whenever I wear it I get so many compliments! The set is simple enough to not be told flashy yet it can really glam up any outfit. I was deciding between getting the set in hot pink or black and opted for the black because the black goes with more and looks more timeless.

Both of these shoes are super comfortable and the Bows on them are beautiful! The ones on the right are Jessica Simpson and the ones of the left are Material Girl ! They both go great with any outfit and are not too pricey which makes them affordable to get!

I just got this Hot Pink Bow Belt from Nordstrom and literally can not wait to wear it! I plan on pairing it with a simple LBD or with a black skirt and cute shirt. It looks fabulous on and really will splash up any of my outfits!

What are some of your favorite Bow items?

Sperry Me {Part Two}

Sperry Top-Sider® 'Authentic Original' Leather Boat Shoe

As I was walking through the shoe section at Nordstrom I glanced upon these B-E-Autiful Sperry's (pictured above). Let me just tell you that they are even prettier in person!

They are such a statement shoe, and would really make any outfit pop but stay classy as well as sassy too! I would pair these Sperry's with some great dark wash jeans, diamond and silver jewelry as well as a cute patterned shirt!

If the navy color is not for you, they also come in Black, Charcoal, and Raspberry!

These Sperry's are definitely on my need list and I think I would get them in either the Navy or Raspberry color!

What do y'all think of them?

Sperry Me

Sperry Topsiders in my opinion are the perfect go to show for most outfits. I personally throw them on all the time, from work to class to just hanging with friends. They add a certain amount of class to an outfit and can also add some fun if they are in a cool print or sparkle!

I have two pairs of Sperry's and am interested in getting another pair. Recently I got this pair of Sperry's, what I love about them is that they are so sparkly and fun! They look great on with a pair of jeans and a cute shirt.

'Bahama' Sequined Boat Shoe

My second pair of Sperry's are super comforatble and look great with some black pants and a printed shirt. I always wear them to work because they look very professional!

'Angelfish' Boat Shoe

Currently I am looking into purchasing a more "original" pair of Sperrys. They are a more "studious" type of shoe and I think they would look great with some flannel!

'Authentic Original' Leather Boat Shoe

Sperry's take a bit of time to break-in (they took me roughly a month) but once they are broken in they are very comfortable. I highly recommend anyone who is considering purchasing a pair does ASAP!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Its a Birthday Weekend!
On Thursday night I went to Dinner and Frozen Yogurt with my friend Maggie! It was a lot of fun catching up and we had a really great time! She gave me a cute picture of us that had a black frame around it with pink polka dots! Talk about cute!

Yesterday was my 20th birthday! I spent the day in the City with my parents! We got to take a trapeze class which was really fun! We were over 40 feet in the air which was super scary at first but then it got better! After the Trapeze class we headed over to Nordstrom to do some shopping then grabbed Mexican for lunch. After lunch we headed to the Beach Boys Concert! It was a great concert and lots of fun! Overall I had a really nice day!

Tomorrow I am going to breakfast with my grandmother and parents to celebrate my birthday again.. and then my friend Hannah is coming over for a Home-Cooked Birthday Dinner!

How do you spend your birthday?! I wanna hear!

Damage Done At Nordstrom Pre-Select

When I woke up yesterday morning I literally could not contain myself! I was so excited to go shop at the Pre-Select at Nordstrom. I made my appointment for it a few days ahead and wanted to be one of the first shoppers in the store. But to my surprise when I walked in to Nordstrom I found out that the sale had already started, at 8am!

Thankfully the store was not too crowded and I was able to move around the Brass Plum (Juniors Section) comfortably. My Personal Shopper Chelsea was fantastic, she took me to almost every department in the store (TBD, Point of View, Shoes, Accessories, Handbags and Brass Plum).

I found so many items that I loved and filled up my dressing room to the brim, literally I was in there for 45 minutes trying on clothes! I was able to score some really great fall pieces and items that were on my "Must-Have" for fall list!

Off of my "Must-Have" list I was only able to score the stack bracelets and a plaid shirt. I did not find the perfect Dark-Wash Skinny jean but I have faith that they are out there somewhere and I am guessing the Leather Jacket is in the same place!

I was able to snag 2 shirts, 1 sweater, 1 blazer, a pair of loafers, and some great stack bracelets!

Overall, I highly recommend shopping the Pre-Select if you have a Nordstrom card because the merchandise goes quick!

Let me know what your favorite purchases from the sale are or will be!

Hello Jack

I have patiently been waiting... okay well not so patiently for my first pairs of Jack Rogers to arrive and they finally did yesterday! I am in Love with them! They fit perfectly though it may take a few wears to stretch them out I can already tell that they will be my "go to" shoe for the rest of the summer. I got them in platinum which I think is the perfect color for a person's first Jacks because they can go with both silver and gold accented outfits. If you are hesitating about getting a pair, don't! Jacks can dress up with any outfit or be dressed down to be more simple. And they are definitely a perfect Preppy shoe!

Why I Love Headbands

I have many reasons why I LOVE Headbands, but here are my Top 6!!

Do you LOVE Headbands? Then let me know some reasons why!

xx, Dallas

3 Must Have Headbands

1. I absolutely love this headband, its is bright and bold making it the perfect flower statement headband for fall. It would be fabulous  paired with a fuchsia, black and white outfit!

Tasha 'Diva-Licious' Flower Headband

2. Pink is definitely one of my favorite colors, and this is a perfect "go to" headband! This headband could be either worn for an evening out or to class. I would pair this headband with a brightly colored floral dress and simple jewelry so the headband could really stand out! And with the $4.00 price tag you could get the headband in all three colors!

3. Every girl needs a bow headband and this one definitely takes the cake! Bow headbands are perfect for the preppy girl and show full class as well as some sass! What I love about this bow headband is that it is so simple yet the Aqua color gives it some POP! I would pair this headband with pearls, a monogram necklace and of course a Lilly Pulitzer dress!

Tasha 'Skinny Bow' Headband

My Headbands

If you guys have not noticed yet the theme for today's posts is headbands. I am literally obsessed with headbands and have over 75! They really can make an outfit. Sometimes when I am low on time I throw a headband in and it makes an outfit 100 times better, even if it is just a pair of Norts (Nike running shorts)!

I thought I would show y'all a few of my favorite headbands as well as the box I keep them in!

the box half of the headbands are kept in

5 of my favorite Bow headbands

4 of my favorite Flower headbands

4 of my favorite Bold headbands

You really can never have too many headbands because every outfit you wear is different!

Tell me about your favorite headbands and where you got them from! I could always use a new one!

S'mores Cereal Bars

These bars are simple to make and delicious! And I guess they may be healthy...ish too! I used Whole Wheat Chex and Dark chocolate so they may be healthier than some other bars out there!

sBa tried out these bars and she absolutely loved them! So sBa here is the recipe for you and all other S'mores fans out there!

Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Craft Night

Last night sBa and I had a craft night! It was so much fun and great to catch up. She introduced me to the show The Bachelorette which I had never really watched before, needless to say the show is very intense!

sBa and I crafted little banners to hang up in our rooms back at school. sBa created a long banner that she will hang over her window in her room at Alpha Phi. It looks adorable and is pictured below!

I made two small banners, one with my name and the other with one of my favorite Lilly quotes that I plan on hanging somewhere in my new room!

The paper we used was Lilly inspired and can be found at any craft store, I got mine at Joann's! We cut out the flowers and circles with whole punches and attached them using double stick tape and lime green ribbon.

Overall it was a great night, and I can not wait to see the banner hanging in sBa's room at UO!

Crafting is always so much fun! Tell me what you craft!

Lions And Tigers And Lilly Oh My!

OMG! Yesterday I was shopping at Albertson's and I stumbled across the Lilly Pulitzer for Barnum's Animal Crackers! I literally could not contain my excitement when I saw them! I had no idea that they would be sold in stores anywhere near the PNW. I bought three boxes, one for me to eat, one for me to keep and one for my friend sBa!

The proceeds for the Special Edition Lilly Animal Crackers will go to Operation Smile!

Make sure you guys check stores near you because they may be there as well!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-Select starts on Wednesday and I am SO excited! Literally I can not contain myself! The Sale opens up to the public on July 20th, the Pre-Select is for Nordstrom Card Holders.

There are going to be some really great fall staples at the sale, from two-tone Michael Kors watches, to leather jackets, to Tory Burch wallets! I know that their are a few things that I absolutely must get to get my closet in shape for fall! The "Must List" includes a Plaid Shirt, Dark Wash Skinny Jeans, Boots (possibly grey), Leather Jacket, and Stack Bracelets.

Nordstrom has yet to release the items that will be on Sale, but they did send out a Catalog that had about a third of what will be at the sale in it. I know that the items on my "Must List" will definitely be at the sale because they are such fall staples! Last year I was able to get some great deals on some clothes that I had been eyeing, like an oversized sweater, tweed coat, some great shirts, and a fabulous grey, black, maroon and light pink flowered scarf!

Nordstrom is my favorite department store and they have yet to fail me! So I am really looking forward to the deals that I will be able to get in a few days!

Now tell me, what is on your fall "Must List"? Do you plan on shopping at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
