Decorated Alcohol Bottle {DIY}

My dear friend Carolyn is turning 21 this weekend so I decided to make her a gift fit for someone at the legal age to drink!

 I picked up a fifth of Captain Morgan (Coconut Flavor), 3 bags of gems, and used a hot glue gun to decorate the bottle.  I got medium and small sized gems and separated them into two bowls, then started by hot gluing a straight line across the bottom of the bottle, then placed a row of gems on the glue. I used the medium sized gems first and then filled in with the smaller gems. I left both the front and back label open so she would be able to tell it was an alcohol bottle.

The whole process took about an hour, it was super easy and fun to do. I know she is going to love the gift and will keep the bottle forever as the bottle can turn into a flower vase!

Are You Outdoorsy?

I am far from an outdoorsy person, but when I put on a pair of Wellies I feel like I could climb a mountain (ok, I kid!). Wellies are fun and help protect your feet when you are sloshing around in the rain. I throw my flower-patterned Coach Wellies on with my dark-wash jeans, pearl earrings, and my favorite pink North Face rain jacket! 

Pictured (above) are Hunter Rain Boots, they are so colorful and fun! Its hard for me to decide which color I want to get because they are all so cute! I am leaning to the Dark Pink or Tiffany Blue, but its really going to be a tough choice. 

No matter the brand of Wellies you wear they can make you feel invincible to the rain and maybe more Outdoorsy!

Today I made some delicious Oatmeal Cookies! I got the recipe from the Quaker box, and it literally is the best recipe ever. It is super easy, tastes amazing and I highly recommend it!

Loafer Me

DV by Dolce Vita 

These DV by Dolce Vita Loafers are as Rachel Zoe would put it "Bananas". They are bright, fun, cute and preppy! I totally wish I could own a pair but they don't make them in size 11. They would look great with some dark-wash jean capris, a white v-neck, a cute bright cardigan, pearl earrings, and a few stack bracelets! I would call them slightly nautical which is totally IN right now! 

Steve Madden 

I ordered a pair of these Steve Madden loafers in Maroon! They are also just as cute as the Dolce Vita loafers but do not really come in as bright summery nautical colors! The Steve Madden's are more fall ready which is great because school is just around the corner! I plan on wearing my Maroon loafers with some black jean, cute black blazer and polka dot shirt!

3 Of My Favorite Summer Items

1. This Summer for me has been all about my Jean Button-up Shirt! I got it at Nordstrom and literally wear it with everything! It is super versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. 

2. My Saddle Bag is literally my life during the summer. I throw everything in it and just go, its funny because I have so many bags but I always rely on this one. My favorite part about it is that when I am out I don't have to worry about setting my bag down and leaving it since it just hangs on me I am hands free! 

3. I take my aviators everywhere I go! I own Dolce and Gabbana aviators but I want to get a pair of Ray Bans as well. I think they are the true summer sunglass and always look classy and adventurous.

Scrapbook Coasters {DIY}

Last night my friend Maggie and I crafted! We made awesome coasters out of scrapbooking paper, modge podge and clear spray paint! They were super easy to make and look great! And catching up with Maggie was as fun as it always is!!

Top 5 Favorite Beauty Products

1. Redken Smooth Down: This product is amazing. It smooths down the frizz of my curls and leaves  them soft. It is a great leave-in conditioner product that I highly recommend!

2. Burt's Bees Hand Creme: This hand creme is fabulous, I don't just use it on my hands but my elbows as well! It helps smooth down my rough elbows. The banana smell is great, but beware it can be strong so if you don't like the smell of bananas then I do not recommend this product.

3. Benefit Dallas Bronzer: This bronzer is great, it has a little bit of glimmer to it but not too much! I also love this product because it has my name on it! If you want a little southern texas bronze on you then this is the product!

4. Diorshow Mascara: This mascara really makes my eyes POP! It makes my eyelashes bolder and thicker. This is one of my favorite go to items that I know will always work!

5. Clinique Chubby Stick: This lipstick is fabulous. It is not too heavy and stays on for a long time. I love all of the colors that it comes in and can not wait to get more colors! Click here to read more about this great product!

Lilly Pulitzer iPhone Cases

The Lilly Pulitzer iPhone Cases by Lifeguard Press are so cute! Not only are they very adroable, but they are also practical because they have a slot on the back where you can place your credit card, id, or any other kind of card. When I saw these cases I almost had to buy one, but then I realized I don't have an iPhone! When I do get an iPhone this definitely will be the case that I get for it! I would get the case in the May Flowers print (farthest right), but all prints are adorable and very Lilly!

Must-Have Fall Boots

I have been searching for the perfect boots for fall. Usually I like to get a pair of boots that I know will last and will stay in style for years to come. I already have Black suede boots, Wedge Steve Madden boots in Cognac, and Grey Steve Madden boots.
